Granby, June 8, 2012 – Pierre Gravel International is proud to announce that the world famous jazz pianist, Oliver Jones is being honoured with a stamp bearing his image.
Canada Post’s 2013 Stamp Program, unveiled Monday, June 4, 2012, provides a glimpse into Canadian history, culture and inspirations. Oliver Jones will be celebrated for black history along with Joe Fortes, Vancouver’s beloved volunteer lifeguard.
“This is one of the greatest achievements of my career” Mr. Jones said of this announcement. We’ll add it to the list of the many awards he’s received, including Juno awards, Felix awards, ADISQ awards and the Governor General’s award. Oliver Jones has and will continue to be one of Canada’s greatest artists.
